The Enigma family was born of the Seelie court and founded on the principle of creation. Their ancestral home is in the North, and it is called Borealis. Since they seized the High Throne, the second children of their family inherit Borealis. Before Guinivere Marcel, they had held onto the throne for four generations-- a shockingly long time for the fae. They build, they create new things. Their family has always been blessed with the "magic of the land" and a surplus of heirs, but any blessing can also be a curse. Their family motto is Astra inclinant, sed non obligant. (The stars incline us, they do not bind us.), and this idea of being fated for greatness but never bound by any natural laws is obvious in the actions they take. The Enigmas see themselves as the laws of nature.
